Talking to an active JW his take on dates are that they are not that important and certainly not something to study. The most important thing is not questioning the faithful and discreet slave and being obedient and definitely not to question their authority. (Remember Korah)
That is the only thing that matters to survive Armagedon. I don't think even Christ's death is relevant for the "other sheep" now, just that they support the GB.

(changing the bible to make it say what they wanted it to in the nwt...especially adding the name jehovah 237 times in the nt...or cgs....when there is zero ancient manuscript for doing so...even though rev says to not add nor delete nuttin...they added the name jehovah twelve time in rev alone....even though not a single one is a quote from the ot or hebrew scriptures!!

i'm scanning through some of the results from the 2012 jw survey as they're coming in.. the most populous of the six voting categories with 76 voters so far is my own category, for those who are inactive, or "faded/fading" (not disfellowshipped or da'd, but no longer reporting time on the ministry).. one statistic already leaping out at me surrounds the question "do you experience 'pre-emptive shunning' from active witnesses, who view you as 'bad association'?
" of the 74 who voted on this so far, 76% have answered "yes" to this question.. it's early days, and obviously i will have a clearer picture of the extent of the problem once the survey closes at the end of the year.
however, the results already in suggest that pre-emptive shunning is widespread among inactive ones, despite this not being an "official" policy of the society.. i was interested in your opinions as to why this may be?
Shunning is a less distasteful word than bullying but that is exactly what it is.
The effects can be just as damaging and can cause lasting psychological problems for many victims.
my new favorite show is the voice where the judges do not see the person singing, they have their chairs turned around and cannot see the contestant.
they are only listening to the qualities of their voices.
if they want to mentor them, they will turn their seat around, and then the contestant gets to pick who he or she would like as a musical celebrity to work with them.. what's your favorite show?.

This has to be the earliest I have ever had an up to date copy. They didn't get to us until at least June out in Spain!
Many used to get JW family to send them a copy but we were never allowed to copy it. It was against society directives.
They didn't have a problem downloading music and films illegally though. They justified it by saying it was the only way they could get to listen or watch them.

That sounds like a true singing competition.
Here in UK you will do better if you look hot and sexy with a mediocre voice than if you look like a minger but sing like an angel.
